I used a gluten free whole wheat
bread for this
version I made at home, but
regular whole wheat
bread is fine too.
And unlike
regular banana
bread, which can be loaded with refined sugar, this
version has subtle sweetness from the maple syrup and won't leave you with a sugar hangover.
