You get lots of well - dimensioned storage spaces, the boot is enough for a family's needs, the rear seats fold 40/20/40 with one touch allowing for
a relatively flat loading area, you get two 12 - volt power outlets, an electronic parking brake and Mazda's Advanced Keyless Entry which does just that: you keep your key in your pocket and the doors open automatically when you grab the door handles.

The brace somewhat restricts the type of cargo that can be
loaded into the Mini's hatch but for my purposes the
relatively large and fairly level, two - tiered cargo floor — it extends as far forward as the rear seat does in the standard Mini, and retains the «footwells» behind the front seats — was ideal for transporting
flats, baskets, and pots of flowers and plants.
The expanded cargo floor is also
relatively flat, which is helpful when
loading long items such as shelving.
Body control is good, even with a full
load, and the Ridgeline stays
relatively flat in corners.
The rear seats fold down to provide a
relatively large and
flat load area but not really big enough for the Ikea run.
