His work is pure,
a relatively rare thing in this day and age, but more than that, he's a gentleman (though I'm sure he's quite capable of being irascible), and his happiness seems hard - won.
However, what this really shows is that even if you are starving, and eating no carbohydrates, or fat, or protein, there is no such
thing as «glucose deficiency» (unless insulin toxic or
relatively rare conditions where glucose can not be made sufficiently, such as cortisol deficiency, but the «safe starch» advocates are not referring to this).
Not just because this kind of situation is possible because such a situation would be
relatively rare, but because there are so many
things in your life that you likely do not want to see get burnt to a crisp.
