the release of WipEout 2048 for the PlayStation Vita on the horizon, Sony has today released the intro video for the futuristic racer, as well as some brand new screenshots.
Annual licensed games such as MXGP 3, MotoGP 17, WRC 7, and F1 2017 also all saw significant improvements that elevated them above typical incremental updates, while futuristic racing fans were treated to the long - awaited comeback of the WipEout series with
the release of WipEout: Omega Collection.
The price drop comes alongside
the release of the Wipeout Omega Collection VR update, which is free for all owners of the game.

What makes
WipEout HD a great game to play years after its initial
release is the coming together
of a modern console's capabilities and the great gameplay
of an older game.
If you can't wait that long, there's plenty
of VR racing game experiences just around the corner: the
WipEout - inspired Bank Limit: Advanced Battle Racing launches in just over a week, or if you fancy something more lighthearted comedic kart racer Coffin Dodgers has entered the VR dimension with the
release of a playable demo.
Take a little F - Zero, a dash
of WipEout, a splash
of Splatoon and shake well, then
release onto PC, PS4 (May 8) and Xbox One (May 9).
Despite failing to achieve their stretch goals on Kickstarter, the developers are working to secure a console

WipEout 3, along with industry veterans whose credits include Colin McRae, AutoClub Revolution, Carmageddon and Midnight Club.
Notable
releases such as Tekken, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid proved that the PlayStation was the system
of choice for major third - parties, while Sony's own output — which included Gran Turismo and
WipEout 2097 — made the system the must - have console
of the»90s.
Sony
released a stack
of new trailers available for download on the PlayStation Store - reminding us
of notable titles like
Wipeout HD, Fat Princess and Flower - but has also announced Savage Moon, a new Desktop Tower Defense style game which I'm sure will tickle the fancy
