Is Nintendo responsible for
releasing the Switch early and have little to no «new» games in plan?
Nintendo
released the Switch earlier this year, a portable game console that's somewhat similar in concept and design to the Razer Edge gaming tablet.

earlier this year.
Like I mentioned
earlier, it's not perfect by any means — the controllers lack headphone jacks, and I've avoided using the
Switch in tabletop mode because of its flimsy kickstand and bottom - facing USB port — but I'm guessing Nintendo will
release new - and - improved hardware in a couple of years, as the company has done in the past (think: Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS).
I told you
earlier that the
release of Genesis 2.0 is what convinced me to
switch Frameworks.

The game initially
released on PC in
early 2016, and has since made its way to PS4, Xbox One, and most recently, Nintendo
Switch.
It's still too
early to say or comment on the lifetime sales figure of Nintendo
Switch, but the fact that we can't ignore is that since it's
release in March 2017, Nintendo
Switch has been the best selling consoles for multiple times in the US (according to the NPD), the most recent month being October 2017.
The game was confirmed
earlier in September to be coming to Nintendo
Switch, and today, Nintendo announced that the game will be
releasing in both North America and Europe on February 9, 2018.
Still, with the
release of
Switch between now and then,
earlier access could be quite useful.
Early leaks from Famitsu reveal that Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires» Conspiracy will be
released on Nintendo
Switch on August 9th, in Japan.
The End Is Nigh
released earlier this year on Steam and is now making its way to
Switch!
Its console exclusivity is expected to last a year, so we could see a PS4, and perhaps even
Switch,
release around December or
early 2018.

Switch earlier this week, on January 23: the beautiful side - scrolling platformer Shu and the traditional RPG Lost Sphear.
Initially due to
release on the eShop on October 17th, it has now been revealed that Axiom Verge will launch digitally on the Nintendo
Switch earlier than expected!
Earlier this week, Electronic Arts finally shared some proper details about the Nintendo
Switch version of FIFA 18,
releasing on September 29th worldwide!
