I suppose this is possible; after all, at the end of the day Nintendo and Game Freak are companies, and the main purpose of companies is to make money for their owners and shareholders, so if they think they can make money by
releasing filler games, it would be in their best interest as a company to do so.

Sure some things might still be incomplete but the overall
game needs to be pretty much complete at this point they could be doing
filler content as far we know just to justify the monthy
releases...
Whether the
game is up to scratch on
release, and whether the promised DLC maps / scenarios are pure
filler or transform the
game, remains to be seen.
I think it'll be a nice
filler game until they
release the next full AC title.

released more
games, both core and indie than microsoft has this gen. I'm trying to work out what you're saying or implying but you've said you're done with the topic so I can only assume you weren't aware of the facts and needed
filler.
I've played the plants vs zombies franchise across a few platforms and always enjoyed them as a pick up and play
game when I've been bored, they have been really helpful during the boring times of needing a
filler game (something to fill your time until the next big
release comes out) and this
game is a few steps above that!
These time - sponge addendums to
games are nothing but
filler, a means through which developers can shoulder the burden of a growing expectation from
gamers and gaming press that a
release has to offer over forty hours of «gameplay» to be worth forty quid.
Further benefits would be the
game needn't been
released until the Christmas period of 2018 since it could sell as a major
release and not a «
filler» in between large
releases like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
