Remix lets users play a downloadable course that samples
Remix Stages from the series, which is based on previous Mario NES games, and adds a new spin to the classic —
old school levels on the side - scrolling platform and level - building game.
The first Act of these
remixed Zones is almost identical to their original counterparts while the second Acts are heavily altered versions of
older stages that introduce new gameplay concepts and stay fresh while staying true to the original theme of the Zones.
The Nintendo attendant told me that the
remixed stages came about when some indies approached Sega with these
old Genesis
stages containing alternate paths they added in (so cool).
In addition to spot - on recreations of the first six games in the series, the Mega Man Legacy Collection includes a totally rad «Museum,» full of concept art,
old advertisements, enemy stats, and entire soundtracks for each game, as well as an addicting «Challenge Mode,» which
remixes elements of various levels from throughout the six included games into custom time trial
stages.

This
remix uses the
old Neversoft gameplay engine from the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and it compiles
stages, soundtracks and skaters from both games along with a new HD look.
The
remixed music is truly excellent, and the barrel - breaking bonus
stages are a nice nod to the
older games too.
