I saw someone
post that the way to deal with thi s was to start reporting
everything and
remove all
posts.
So rather than make another
post about our idyllic Autumn here en Suisse, far
removed from
everything, I had a conversation with my good friend Barb of Creative Culinary about what we could do.
There's a site called Spokeo.com that's a new online USA phone book that makes available personal information:
everything from pictures you've
posted on Facebook or the Web, your approximate credit score, the address and pictures of where you live, your income, your age, your relationships... You can
remove yourself by searching your name, finding the page for yourself, and copying the URL.
I could've waited 24 hrs and
posted pics of
everything freshly cleaned and looking beautiful (the stovetop is sparkling, dust bunnies have been
removed, laundry is folded, bed sheets are washed, etc).
Take an inventory of
everything in your room and either
remove these
postings or keep them out of any media you record.
Once you've backed
everything up and deleted any
posts and photos you want
removed immediately, visit Facebook's account deletion page (Facebook isn't keen on you doing this, so it isn't easily accessible through the settings menu) and click «Delete my account».
Facebook warns that it may take up to 90 days, however, to
remove everything you've
posted.
