number of real stations [this may be between his 650 and 850 [last list of up
to date reporting stations early this year had 833 twice but presumably a few more not used as missing some days] b. the
number of original real stations remaining this may be lower than 650 if real but new replacement stations have been put in c in which case the
number of real original and the
number of real replacement stations in the 650

The strangest thing
to me, and something I've raised in
