MANHATTAN — Mayor Michael Bloomberg thinks the rule
requiring schools chancellors to have experience in education should be scrapped.

Mary Jane Tappen, Florida's deputy

The process,

requires three parties to bless a final number — the governor, the state
schools chief and the
chancellor of the community college system.
