dog and cat
rescue and
know that there are people feverishly pulling animals from shelters on their last day and fostering them.
No matter the breed, if you adopt a
dog, discuss temperament testing (
rescue groups and shelters usually do this before placing pets up for adoption).
After you let the shelter or
rescue know your experience with
dogs and what types of
dogs you're interested in fostering — for example, big, adolescent
dogs who need plenty of exercise; small lap
