ABOUT THE JOAN MITCHELL CENTER The core
program of the Center is an artist in
residence program, which offers both time and space for artists to create work in a contemplative environment, as well as provides opportunities for
visiting artists to engage with the local arts community and experience the rich cultural possibilities of New Orleans.
Miner has been featured in more than twenty solo exhibitions — with two planned in 2018 — and has been artist - in -
residence or
visiting artist at institutions such as the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, École supérieure des beaux - arts in Nantes, Klondike Institute of Art and Culture, Rabbit Island, Santa Fe Art Institute, and numerous universities, art schools, and low - residency MFA
programs.
Past events include: • Curated tour of Harlem art spaces, including the inHarlem public art projects in Harlem's Historic Parks, the Harlem Hospital Murals, PS209, followed by a reception and artist talk at the Lewis Long Gallery • Private preview of artist Lynette Yiadom - Boakye's work at Jack Shainman Gallery with Yiadom - Boakye and Thelma Golden, Studio Museum Director and Chief Curator • Private tour of the JPMorgan Chase Art Collection led by Lisa K. Erf, Director and Chief Curator of the JPMorgan Chase Art

visit with 2016 — 17 Studio Museum artists in
residence Autumn Knight, Julia Phillips, and Andy Robert, with Thelma Golden and Hallie Ringle, Assistant Curator Studio Society offers two options: Individual ($ 1,500) or Steering Committee ($ 2,500) membership.
S / he will be an integral member of the Bemis Center's Artist - in -
Residence Program, stimulating intellectual discourse surrounding contemporary art practice through studio
visits, knowledge - sharing workshops, and other organized
programs with fellow artists - in -
residence.
There are four types of residencies, including local organizations in
residence, where arts organizations have their offices and activities on our campus; local artists in
residence, where LA - based artist occupy either live / work or day work studios for 1 year or more; a
visiting artist
program that hosts international and national artists and curators from between 1 to 3 months; and the Artist Lab Residency
program, structured as both a residency and an exhibition for an LA - based artist in our Main Gallery.
Fall
programs, organized and moderated by Douglas Dreishpoon, Director of the Helen Frankenthaler Catalogue Raisonné, included an October conversation that brought together artists who were in
residence at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture in 1986, when Helen Frankenthaler was a
visiting artist there; and Helen Frankenthaler: Saluting France, a panel discussion on the subject of Frankenthaler's work and its connection to French art and culture.

BAM attendees will also be able to do more than just see or purchase art; they will actually be able to interact with and
visit the studios of 18th Street Arts Center's artists - in -
residence and arts organizations like Otis College of Art and Design's MFA in Public Practice

Among his many teaching positions, Mr. Lemon has been an IDA Fellow at Stanford University (2009); artist - in -
residence at Temple University (2005 — 06); Miller Endowment
Visiting Artist at the Krannert Center (2004); Fellow of the Humanities Council and
Program in Theater & Dance at Princeton University (2002); and Associate Artist at Yale Repertory Theatre (1996 — 2000).
The
program provides early career, self - directed artists the time, space and support to experiment and develop a new body of work in a creative community comprising artists - in -
residence,
visiting artists, and hundreds of students.
Ongoing critical dialogue is fostered through peer review during weekly critiques, one - on - one meetings with the artist - in -
residence, weekly reading group, meetings with
visiting artists and critics and through the campus wide critical studies
program.
She has been an Emerging Artist in
Residence at Pilchuck Glass School, a
visiting artist at the Worcester Center for Crafts, an artist in
residence at the Jentel Artist Residency
Program in Banner, Wyoming and an artist in
residence at the Municipal Gallery in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Prepares artists to teach in
programs that do not require a CA Teaching Credential such as private schools,
visiting artist in schools, artists in
residence programs, correctional facilities, museum education departments, non-profit arts organizations, etc..

New Crits on the Block, a youth - led studio -
visit program offers unique and unmediated experiences for youth to engage with artists - in -
residence at Banff Centre.
He is currently in
residence from 2016 - 18 as Honorary Chair of the Lamar Dodd School of Art, University of Georgia, Athens, where he is bringing Yoshua Okón as part of a two - year
program of
visiting lecturers.
ORLAN joins OCAD as its third artist - in -
residence in its Nomadic Residents

Our new artist house will allow us to expand the existing artist - in -
residence program for artists and writers of color, establish a
visiting artist
program and invite former AIRs back to CPW.
The
program begins with an eight - week summer session in
residence at Parsons, the first of three, in which students attend lectures by and meet with
visiting artists, curators, and critics.

ISCP's
program has four core activities that artists in

visiting critics, field trips, salons, and open studios.
Through this collaboration, RU provides studio
visits and networking opportunities to the artists participating in AAI's LES Studio
Program, while AAI's Cuchifritos Gallery + Project Space is given to RU for one month every summer for an exhibition of new work from their artists - in -
residence.

programs and for key studio improvements for the artists - in -
residence.
