Through our exhibitions, artist talks, studio art classes, international and local residency program, free public events, satellite class sites, and professional development opportunities we work to provide the space for artists at every age and stage to cultivate their practice, build connections, and impact our world.

Our programs include regular gallery exhibitions that provide local artists a platform to showcase new works, a robust residency program that welcomes national and international artists into our community and regular workshops, artists talks, community potlucks and other and public events.

Anderson, one week into a month - long artist in residence stint at the nearby spacious waterfront estate of the late Robert Rauschenberg on Captiva Island, gave the talk as an overview of her multi-layered career along with a brief update on projects she was working on during the residency.

Daisy had an eventful start to her residency, which began right on the heels of Fresh Milk hosting an exhibition & artist talk about Sonia Farmer's piece «A True & Exact History».

The talk will invite three artists currently undertaking residencies at ARCUS Project, Ernesto Bautista from El Salvador, Gan Siong King from Malaysia, Yen Noh based in Austria and one artist, Jenny Yurshansky who is staying with AIT in its residency program, she is based in Sweden and the USA.

Offering both local audiences and international visitors the opportunity to discover artists, their work expands outside the gallery through a public programme that includes talks, residencies, site - specific installations, and supporting cultural initiatives in Ghana and beyond.

At the conclusion of their residency, artists will either exhibit work in VisArts» True F. Luck Gallery or give a workshop, talk or artist demonstration at the Visual Arts Center.

As part of the residency, the artist will be required to offer a public exhibition, performance, or presentation of the work, as well as an artist talk or workshop related to the project.

Participation in the residency program includes a platform to share and participate in a community of artists and others through informal networking and participation in seasonal open studios and artist talks at the gallery.

Proyecto Batiscafo started as an artist - run program of residencies in Havana, but from 2003 - 10 it grew and became a regular feature in the emerging Cuban art scene through numerous projects including open studio events, talks, performances, exhibitions, and many other public activities.

Arai's residency included the production of two limited edition silkscreened prints, digital workshops for East EA teens, printmaking classes at a local elementary school, an Open Studio session and a series of artist talks for students of the University of California at Irvine and the staff of the Japanese American National Museum.
