If you are a pastor who struggles with power, one of the best ways to lead the people of your church may be to
resign as pastor and invite them to follow Jesus Christ as the sole Head of the Church.
It is for this reason that if a pastor struggles with power, it might be best for him to
resign as pastor.
None of this means, of course, that if
you resign as pastor, you no longer need to seek the advice and counsel of others.
In fact, the decision to
resign as pastor should probably be something you discuss with your board.
