programme also introduces children to the skills of assertiveness and problem solving, and helps them
build their «
resilience muscles» through identifying their strengths, social support networks, sources of positive emotions and reflection on previous experiences of
resilience and self - efficacy.
UNESCO also promotes an inter-sectoral approach for strategic planning and assessment and implements
programmes with MOET on Education for Sustainable Development and Heritage Education,
building capacities for
resilience, sustainable development, and the safeguarding cultural heritage.
During a two day
programme of free learning outside the classroom within walking distance of the school involving the whole of Year 7 (350 pupils), pupils developed their
