heartworms present, they can obstruct the vessels, causing the heart to pump harder
against the increased
resistance of blood flow.

against the spread of
heartworm resistance.

against using
heartworm preventative medications like Ivermectin in a «slow - kill» method because it may encourage drug -
resistance in the
heartworm, and so make it more difficult to successfully treat or protect dogs.
