Though not the same, we got great
results using lemons.

The
result ended up being this gold - medal winning IPA, whose inspired
use of hops creates hints of apricot, peach, mango and
lemon flavors, but still packs a bit of a sting, just like a Sculpin fish.
and for those that have soy allergies, we've also made it with a straight cashew cream (with garlic,
lemon juice, salt + pepper, and enough cashew soaking water to achieve the right consistency — don't be afraid to
use a lot), and the
results were also yummy.
I've found granulated
lemon juice recently and have been
using that with good
results, but I'd like to have a good blend with the pepper and perhaps a bit of salt and garlic too.
This cake is so simple that you really need to
use fresh
lemon juice, as opposed to bottled juice, to get the best
result.
I
used a double boiler, meyer
lemons, an extra egg yolk and strained the
result.
Use at least 1 - 2 full
lemons each day for optimal
results.
1/2 cup tahini — note that oil / solid contents vary in tahinis, which could affect the end
result of your UGD 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar — I like the organic unfiltered kind with the mother 1/4 cup soy sauce — for a gluten - free UGD,
use GF tamari 1 tbsp
lemon juice, about half a
lemon's worth 1/2 tsp salt —
use more if you're
using kosher salt 3 cloves garlic, minced 2 tbsp — 1/2 cup water — depends on the liquid content of your tahini.
I usually
use Trader Joe's for the
lemon curd but because they were out, I made my own with extra
lemon zest and the overall
result was sumptuous yet light.
I made a larger version of this recipe which called for 1 tsp stevia (and
used equal parts eucalyptus and
lemon essential oils) with magnificent
results.
You can
use lemon, lime, or orange with equally delicious
results.

The HTBE recipe, thankfully, does not produce this
result, just delicious, creamy,
lemon tart filling (which you could also
use to top pancakes or waffles, spread on muffins, or as the filling for most any cake or cookie, really.)
Use 7 tbsp water and 3 tbsp
lemon juice, and then taste the
result to see if you would like to add more
lemon or a thinner consistency.

used real
lemons — the whole
lemon, including both the juice and the zest — to flavor its delicious beverages which
results in the crispest, most refreshing taste around.
Also
used lemon instead of lime juice but I think the
resulting salad is still a nice blend of fresh flavours that went well with Tandoori chicken.

using, with good
results: an equal part combination of yarrow, chamomile, mint, motherwort,
lemon balm, St John's - wort; you can buy them on line, as 1/2 lbs packages, mix them all up good, and make a tea (boil for 10 - 15 min a quart of water and 4 T - spoons of mix); keep the mix in a sealed jar; this may benefit multiple digestive disorders such as IBS, colitis and Chron's.
