At least twice each year, the governor must, under oath, examine the treasurer and the Comptroller of Maryland, and
review the state's

If you write
at least one page per day, it does not matter if it is for a grant, a paper, a manuscript
review, a blog, a
book, a lecture, or anything else related to your work, you are making progress.

book at least read the

at least, I do) is approbation from a mainstream audience — people who typically read rather than get paid to

Groups that provide a designation or stamp of approval may not
review your
book, but
at least they provide some validity and statement that your
book meets some minimum quality standard.
Put yourself in a position where, when you do contact them to request a
book review, they already know your name and are already
at least somewhat familiar with you.
I get through
at least one a week, often more, and I
review these
books for pleasure, usually on Amazon, sometimes on Goodreads (a site that's hailed as social media for readers, but to be honest I find it a frustratingly clunky site so don't go on there that much — and as it's now owned by Amazon, it may only be a matter of time before my Amazon
reviews are accessible from Goodreads anyway).

But the hardest part of the job (
at least for me) is narrowing all of these great
books down to a stack of 10 or 12 to
review each month.
As for the elders themselves, I could have composed a column of their comments alone and produced a
review of this
book at least as good as the dithyramb above.
A focus of your
book launch is going to be to get
at least ten
reviews in the first few days so that random visitors to your Amazon page will get that social proof they need to buy the
book.
At least half of your potential reviewer list should be made up of these non-book-reviewing bloggers, and everyone on it should say somewhere on their website that they never read or
review self - published
books.

If your author friends aren't local, use Facebook Live to offer several holiday gift
book reviews and recommendations over the next few weeks — and make sure
at least one of the recommended
books was written by a friend.
Out of those, you should get

Offer an advance
review copy (ARC) of your
book at least two to three weeks before your launch.
Your
book should be

I read two marketing
books this weekend that suggest marketing is useless without

books in three months, edited a 94,000 word middle grade novel, offered feedback on the work of six critique group members, wrote a technical manual for a business, constructed a grant proposal for an individual, tweaked a historical article for an upcoming state project, and became a writer for Demand Studios.
