Severely underpromoted and relegated to an unusual mid-December opening, even with some favorable
reviews, Groove would muster only $ 89 million domestically (a tad
below its estimated $ 100 million production budget) and slightly less overseas, qualifying its as one
of the department's weakest - performing
films in recent memory.
