I've been keeping busy, preparing for classes that were supposed to start yesterday, reading a
book for a
review due at the end
of the month, shoveling the driveway (the first one on the block to do so, with the only emulator being the ex-Marine across the street), and watching DVDs we rented in anticipation
of the
great blizzard
of 2011 (8 inches
of snow and ice!).

Militias and the Future
of the Far Right, by Jeffrey Kaplan Both
books reviewed serve to explain the appearance
of a
great deal
of anti-government anger in the militia movement and other right - wing causes.
So it was with
great interest when Kregel Publishers recently sent me a
review copy
of the new
book by Douglas Huffman, The Handy Guide to New Testament Greek.

great review of the
book.
So in light
of all this, it was with
great excitement and nostalgia that I recently received from Kregel Academic a
review copy
of a
book called Jesus the Messiah which was co-authored by Gordon Johnston, Darrel Bock, and Herbert Bateman.
However, I agree that my
review might have been overly hard on his
book, which, in covering a
great deal
of ground in relatively few pages, has the virtues
of brevity and conciseness» virtues I failed to point out the first time around.

This is a shame as I had high hopes for this
book based on the
reviews, and although I'm sure the recipes are
great for those who can tolerate the ingredients used, I think it should be made clear at the beginning
of the
book or in a section that's included in the kindle sample, that «if you're allergic to nuts this
book unfortunately just isn't for you».
