rhubarb pie with buckwheat (the recipe is also on my blog).

rhubarb fan, but never know what to do
with it except make
pies (delicious
with ice cream but can't eat them every day:)-RRB-, so this is a very nice looking additional thing.
I know that
rhubarb is currently in season, but I've never purchased
rhubarb, and didn't know what to do
with it (other than make strawberry
rhubarb pie).
This
pie, in the book, is actually made
with rhubarb, but it's not exactly
rhubarb season right now, so I subbed in some raspberries to provide the same tartness, and it worked unbelievably well.
Luckily I've got you covered
with this sprouted pastry dough, good for raw vegan blueberry

pie, and pretty much any...
Rhubarb and custard are a classic pairing, and this particular
pie combines them
with a cinnamon and brown sugar - kissed oatmeal cookie crust.
I've never cooked
with rhubarb before — but I love it in
pie!
I've been looking for something to make

Some of you may be fortunate to have
rhubarb growing in your garden, it's one of those plants that comes back year after year
with no bother at all; just happy to be a part of your
pies and goodies.
With the strawberry -
rhubarb pie I wrote about last week, I found that nothing but tapioca got it to firm up; for sour cherry
pies, this level of cornstarch has always worked reliably for me.
Rhubarb compote and vanilla custard topped
with pie crust, sounds yummy and comforting.
I hade a few strawberry
rhubarb pies last weekend and I have a little leftover
rhubarb that I really didn't know what to do
with!

These delicious hand
pies are made
with an all - butter
pie crust and filled
with a yummy mixture of
rhubarb and strawberries.
Usually, strawberries and
rhubarb melt together in the filling of a
pie; here, they're left raw and topped
with torn mint and hazelnuts.
I combined the strawberries
with some leftover
rhubarb to make strawberry

We're suckers for the custardy salted - maple
pie but also can't pass up a slice
with whatever fruit's in season, whether it's sour cherry ¬ — bourbon or strawberry -
rhubarb with lavender streusel.
We make strawberry and
rhubarb pie and bars every year it is one of my favourite combinations
with rhubarb.
