These remind me of the time I made brown
rice / tofu
balls, flavored
with sesame seeds and fish sauce... and the cat found them irresistible.

To form the
rice balls, line a small cup

with dates and nut butter and a little honey, and then stirring in hemp hearts and puffed brown
rice and forming the mixture into

rice ends up like mush, add some cooked meat or shrimp to it, form little
balls and either fry them up or envelope them
with wonton wrappers and then steam or fry them.
It is served
with onigiri (
rice balls) or sake and generally given as a gift during the New Year celebration.
Once
balls are done cooking, serve warm over brown
rice and top
with sauce.
