A rice dressing mix certainly would make things easy!
In Louisiana, the grocery stores make this easy for you because you can actually buy a packet in the meat section called
rice dressing mix and all you have to do is cook it and add your rice and spices.

I
mixed up some oil,
rice vinegar, ponzu sauce, and dried ginger to make a
dressing, poured it over the salad and tossed to coat.
No, these potatoes don't make themselves, and they do take a bit of pre-planning (I baked the potatoes before
mixing with other ingredients (which means I had to remember that everyone's going to want to eat before they want to eat) and, since I wanted these to be weight - loss - friendly, I used this Creamy Italian
Dressing (which takes about 5 minutes longer than opening a bottle of store - bought (but really didn't take any extra time because I had some on hand in my frig (which, thankfully, is the norm — we almost always have some in our frig because we eat it on nearly everything (salad, broccoli,
rice, cabbage, bread, potatoes, and more) and it gets used in lots of recipes (like Garbanzo Pesto Salad and Chickpea Salad Sandwich)-RRB--RRB--RRB--RRB-.

I use a
mix of «black and brown»
rice to make a hearty, vegetable laden
rice salad with a
dressing curried yogurt that's just sooooo satisfying.
** note I cooked the quinoa in my
rice maker, then I just
mixed the
dressing together and tossed the cooked quinoa, diced veggies and
dressing together.
The
dressing is a simple
mix of lime, sesame oil and seeds, tamari,
rice vinegar, garlic and ginger.

We took our favorite winter veggies (click on the links to learn about their health benefits), beets, butternut squash, Brussels sprouts, and kale, and
mixed them up with chewy brown
rice and a delicious and bright maple mustard
dressing.
Mustard (especially the squeeze kind) Pre-made beverage
mixes like Bloody Mary
mix (check the label for barley malt flavoring or hydrolyzed wheat protein, and skip the Bloody Marys and Caesars at brunch) Store - bought soups (yup, even tomato soup can contain wheat, but especially the creamy stuff like Cream of Mushroom and Chicken) Sauces and salad
dressings (BBQ sauce is a biggie) Brown
rice syrup (often found in processed foods and alternative sweeteners, which is derived from barley) Ice cream and Fudgesicles (may contain malt extract, which is also derived from barley) Yogurt (the flavored kinds) Gravy (usually thickened with flour) Meatballs (most often contains breadcrumbs as a binder) French Fries (ask if they've been fried in a dedicated fryer.
Dress still - warm sticky
rice with a
mix of
rice vinegar, salt, and sugar, then toss with all the ingredients of your favorite sushi roll.
Fresh crunchy raw veggies tossed in a simple soy,
rice vinegar and miso
dressing with a bit of mint
mixed in for a refreshing note.
In the few days since I made this batch of pickled fennel, I have: chopped up the fennel and
mixed it with
rice, along with some of the pickling liquid and olive oil; added the fennel to blanched fresh cranberry and green beans and

Crispy Tofu 2 cups cooked brown basmati
rice 1 1/2 cups Wasabi Dill
Dressing 8 cups mesclun lettuce
mix (or any greens you have on hand) sun - dried tomatoes in oil, sliced 1 cup sunflower sprouts 2 tbsp Hot Sauce (or use the Simple Sauce + Hot Sauce combo mentioned above)
Quick, healthy
mixed grains salad of quinoa and millet tossed with black beans, avocado slices and grapes,
dressed with lime juice and
rice vinegar.
Note: Many grocery stores sell bamboo mats and a bamboo spatula — the mats make it easier to roll and the spatula is perfect for
dressing,
mixing, and cooling the
rice.
To make the
dressing mix together the orange juice, grated ginger, say sauce,
rice wine vinegar, chili, garlic, sesame oil and sesame seeds in a bowl and then set aside 2 - 3 tbsp for serving.
Dinner: Salmon grilled in coconut oil, with brown
rice, grilled
mixed vegetables with a sprinkle of toasted seeds and a
dressing of coconut oil, tamari and lemon juice.
Dill
Dressing 1/3 cup minced fresh dill 1/4 cup cider vinegar or lemon juice 1 & 1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard 1/2 teaspoon honey or
rice syrup 1/2 cup flax seed oil In a bowl or blender
mix everything except the flax oil.
Sometimes it can be as simple as getting people to start their menu planning with the starchy dish (are we going to have potatoes (sweet or white), brown
rice, ww pasta or quinoa) and then the non-starchy vegetable (
mixing bowl sized salad, half a bunch of broccoli, steamed kale with balsamic / dijon
dressing, etc.) and then lastly what small side of meat to have with it.
Seasoned
rice vinegar has a mild sweet - sour flavor that makes it a delicious salad
dressing by itself or
mixed with other ingredients.
I like using it for marinating chicken, spicing up cauli -
rice, or even
mixing it with olive oil or full - fat yogurt and use as keto friendly salad
dressing.
Cilantro Lime
Dressing: 1 heaping cup fresh cilantro 1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 Tbsp
rice vinegar Juice of one lime 1/4 tsp salt 2 cloves garlic 1 scoop BIOHM Super Greens To Prepare The
Dressing: In a medium
mixing bowl, whisk ingredients together.
dinner (sometimes ends up being late at night — 8pm / 9 pm) chicken, steak, ground turkey salad with
mixed veges and homemade oil / vinegar
dressing sometimes w /
rice / potato (but not always)
Serve with brown
rice, risotto or polenta, and a salad of
mixed greens, lightly
dressed.
Even a plain rotisserie chicken can easily be jazzed up with a bag of
mixed greens and a light
dressing, or a freezer box of fried
rice you can heat up in the hotel microwave.
