The perfect partner
for savory dishes like
rice,
chicken and fish as well as fruits, jams, marmalades,
salad dressings and desserts.
I add back in the
chicken along with either white wine or homemade dashi (which amps up the smokiness factor) and simmer
for 20 — 30 minutes, then serve over white
rice with a healthy dollop of thick yogurt, or alongside a good, crusty baguette and a green
salad.
