The museum is dedicated to the collection, preservation, interpretation, and dissemination of art from the nineteenth century to the present, with a particular focus on honoring
the rich creative legacy of the East End.
Together, the works in If I Told Her provide a
creative study of and response to the
rich stories — the life, work, and
legacy — of the cultural pioneers whose voices have been silenced by history.
