Btw, you don t taste the dates in this recipe; they just provide the goo and
richness of this cake.
I enjoy it with a little dollop of Coco Whip as a fluffy contrast to
the richness of the cake.
Grated in the zest of a lemon and then added the lemon juice as I thought the additional tartness would help cut through
the richness of the cake.
The richness of this cake might make you faint, but let me tell you that this cake is gluten - free, sugar - free and dairy - free!
It looked beautiful, tasted very chocolaty, the salted caramel was mild (I might add a bit more salt the next time) and the cream was a nice addition to break up
the richness of the cake and ganache.
It just adds to
the richness of the cake.
