Dream summer: no injuries; get
rid of a few players not in the picture; trade Szczesny for Lloris or Cech; find a talented young CB (none of the ones we are linked to excite me much except Howedes and Varane, and I don't like our odds on them — also unnecessary unless we get rid of one or Chambers isn't going to play there); Kongdobia or Schniederlin (if an offer of 35 + mil comes in for WIlshere, sell and buy BOTH); Lacazette (Dybala looks great, but he is not a great goalscorer and I believe Arsene would turn him into a winger primarily — so, I'd still get him, but not as high a priority as the rest).
On the hand he can't buy any players because his annual fees of spending on players must be to the level fixed by FA or FIFA If he want to buy, he must get
rid of few players.

rid of the real problem WENGER hes the cause
of our demise why does the board still support him he must have big friends on the board any other manager would have been sacked years ago but not Wenger does he run the club or what????? And Ozil the useless German hes the worst
player on the field no commitment, and along with a
few others he should be sold we have the money, months ago it was said we had in excess
of 160 million to spend where did that go we only spent 50 m.

-- If we can stay off injuries to key
players — Maintain our compactness and our found solidity in defense — Having a good golie has Oooospina has so far shown — No complacency in games — Keep bagging in those goals (goals wins games)-- Get
rid of some ageing / underperforming
players in the summer — Recruiting a
few more for an even improved squad, and — Continuous improvement to our academy
As a matter
of fact, this is one
of the main reasons for underperforming in last
few years - the so called «British core» - overrated and low quality British
players, well bellow, in quality, to foreigners. To spend 32 millions on 2 mediocre English
players - Welbeck and Chambers - when you can get foreign «wizzards» for that type
of money is suicidal. Now, go on an analyze how much Wilshere, Gibbs, Ox, Walcott and Ramsey helped the team to be the best in the last
few years. And how much, for instance, did Sanchez in only
few months.Alexis is better than all «British core» combined and cost a fraction
of these overrated
players.The time we get
rid of the british
players is the time we go back on top.Time will tell...

players off having a great team ready to challenge any team in Europe.
I like both Welbeck and Lucas but don't really understand why we got them as Welbeck wasn't an improvement and Lucas was a gamble because he is 28 and only 1 good season (also he hardly starts even though he has performed well) we should have got a WC Forward in past
few years Now we have: Alexis, Giroud, Welbeck, Lucas, Iwobi, Ox, Walcott, Akpom, Sanogo, Campbell We are collecting average to good
players (except Alexis who is WC) In order to get another WC forward we need to get
rid of a
few of the above for funds and clear up wages.
Although with that being said granted that he is a premier league
player we would have to adjust for inflation, so he will definitely command a transfer fee exceeding # 45 Million however from our perspective with us looking to offload a
few of our
players, who retrospectively are being looked at by Everton Ospina, Walcott, Gibbs, Ox and Campbell it would provide us with the perfect opportunity to launch a bid upwards
of # 40 Million and a
player exchange I may be getting ahead
of myself but f we were to get
rid of any
of those guys I'd rather it be in a deal to a team, that couldn't provide a threat to our title ambitions whilst it simultaneously being a deal that advantages all parties.

Arsenal do have a
few more winners in our squad and they are
players in key areas and hopefully that will help us to confound the critics and
rid ourselves
of the over used tag
of being unable to see the season through.
Tanking is getting
rid of every older
player making any kind
of money and muddling through for a
few years with a bunch
of heralded rookies, has - beens, and never - will - bes until those prospects pan out and then payroll is spent on complimentary pieces to supplement a young, dynamic core.
Look at the future squad carefully (mina, umtiti, semedo, digne, roberto, dembele, etc all 25 or a little above or below) this will be our next starting xi while instead
of bench pieces we will have 20 year Olds e.g Abel Ruiz de ligt etc waiting to replace them when they are at their peak, If you look instead
of hear you will see where Ev is leading us to with his signing s (which have all been world class) he is building a squad worthy
of our style and one that will require only a
few tweaks so we won't spend millions on
players and find our selves getting
rid of dead weight ala pep and lucho.
(1) this squad has way too many moving parts and very
few of our
players are good enough at their preferred position let alone relying on them in whatever position Wenger and his magic eight ball decide in the tunnel prior to the game... when teams do this it generally signals issues within the club, much like Jose last year and Van Gael before him... no one gets settled, the chemistry is almost non-existent and if provides a built - in excuse when the team comes up short... these issues fall squarely on Wenger, both for his decisions regarding
players coming in and for his inability to
rid the team
of those
players who aren't cutting it... in actually fact we have only 6 real starters on this current squad and that's being generous (Sanchez, Ozil, Lacazette, Sead, Kos & Cazorla)... which is discouraging because Cazorla is injured and might never play again, Sanchez is wanting out and the club is lying to us about his injury status, Lacazette receives no service, Ozil is relatively disinterested out there, Kos is getting up there and Sead is just trying to settle in... there isn't a single other
player that would start regularly on any
of the other top 3 teams, which should be the standard... imagine this team moving forward if Wenger only sells before the window closes
we can't even get
rid of players that have barely mannered to us for several years... which is incredibly annoying considering that our beloved owner would never risk his own financial resources whether he brought in some new blood or offloaded several failed Wenger projects for less than market value... he would simply make a little less and the burden would fall squarely on other sources
of income, primarily us... I don't know about you but I would gladly use all the money they have been stockpiling to
rid ourselves
of those that don't meet acceptable standards and to replace them with a
few higher priced gems... I know, I know, Wenger and his minions have been scouring the globe for years now to find anyone that was as good as our current lot to no avail, but I've just got to believe there must be two or three guys somewhere out there that can play this crazy game
which is certainly not a slight on the young french national
player; like him or not, Sanchez has provided some real world - class performances for club and country in recent years... if you do this move, you need to really clean house or face some serious consequences for the foreseeable future... half measures are rarely rewarded, that's how we got here... tear down the wall... we need to get
rid of Giroud, not because he isn't a talented
player, his skill - set simply doesn't make sense if we hope to maximize the offensive potential
of a quick passing, one - touch scheme... we need to evolve, like Barcelona, who realized you needed to have clinical finishers or face a mind - numbing future
of horizontal passes and largely ineffective crosses... Barca went and got Suarez, even though they had Messi and Neymar on the roster (just imagine the possibilities — another in the litany
of Wenger «what ifs»)... we need to be as clinical in the boardroom as on the pitch... accept nothing less or move on... personally I would move on from Welbeck, Giroud and Walcott, even Ox if he isn't all in... I think the most intriguing
player might be Perez, which runs counter to the thoughts in my head when he arrived late last summer... we need a deep lying DM with quick feet and long ball potential, midfielders who can counter quickly even when they are spread out and 4 or 5
players who know how to attack the lanes (kind
of a cross between Barca, Dortmund and Monaco)... this is seriously an achievable goal, one that logically should have been achieved quite a
few years ago... did no one in the Arsenal organization see the financial restructuring
of the football universe... think
of the
players we could have had but we weren't willing to cough up the dough only for those individuals to have their value double or triple within a 12 to 24 month period... even if just from an investment perspective these «no deals» represent a failure
of monumental proportions... only if you cared,
of course
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition
of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release
of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state
of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get
rid of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a
few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy
of our time and / or investment, as such we should get
rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get
rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction
of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return
of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort
of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative
of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition
of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle
of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that
player into the fold without any
of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind
of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special
players and certainly can't help make the
player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack
of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper
players in the final third... he was never a good defensive
player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result
of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest
of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands
of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none
of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club
of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get
rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field
of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version
of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history
of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a
player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet
of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival
of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone
of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand
players of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that
of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part
of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those
players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet
of those who were well aware all along
of the potential pitfalls
of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
So far Arsenal got
rid of Yaya Sanogo, which is nice, because I don't see the point

few others should follow this example.
He failed to get
rid of his dead wood as they are very poor
players as he is keeping Debuchy for three years without playing a single game and he bought Lucas

With a raft
of attacking
players proving hard to get
rid of, it seems that the remaining weeks
of August could still see quite a
few players transferring in and out
of the club, until Mancini is happy with the squad at his disposal.
I never agreed with those who said he was deadwood, as i feel he's a good squad
player, and his experience is needed. He has been linked with a move to wolfsburg a
few times recently but i think it would be a mistake to get
rid of him.
He's played his way to these performances over the season, showing great performances consistently over the past
few games and this is the result
of competent coaching gradually improving a
player who most here were glad to get
rid of and thought belonged in mid table somewhere and wasn't worthy
of putting on our shirt.
If they attach themselves to the
