If we had carried on spending
ridiculous transfer fees on average players then, as a club, we would have been in trouble.
One of the best strikers in the world, Karim Benzema has been linked with a # 40m move to Liverpool in recent times, which would be # 5m more than they paid for current record - signing Andy Carroll, showing just how
ridiculous the transfer market can be!
IMO instead
of ridiculous transfers (which are probably fabricated) like Higuain for 80mil / Giroud + 60mil or bloody Morata for 60 mil, we should go for Lacazette and Koulibaly, for a combined total of 70 - 80 mil.
The main problem is of course the manager: inept tactics,
ridiculous transfer windows, thin squads, bizarre systems and playing players out of position.
I'll probably get a record number of thumbs down for this but Benzema doesn't impress me at all — over rated and
ridiculous transfer fee for his age.
And all that without
a ridiculous transfer fee / wages.
Wenger is to blame for
this ridiculous transfer window.
He is to blame for
this ridiculous transfer window.
Tottenham have been the still centre of
this ridiculous transfer market, serenely keeping their heads while all around them have been losing theirs, and blaming it on PSG.
With all the attention paid to Benzema and
the ridiculous transfer fees projected, you would think he is the best striker in the world.
When you look at some of
the ridiculous transfer fees spent by other clubs, especially in the Premier League, you can see his point.
In the face of all that relative sanity, The Daily Mirror just dropped the mother of
all ridiculous transfer rumors on us, suggesting that Roma are attempting to lure Chelsea's 20 - year - old star centerback in the making, Kurt Zouma, to the capital for the tidy sum of # 25 million, or roughly $ 35 million.
