right to refuse to have their children take the
grades 3 - 8 ELA and math
exams.

grade boundaries were set at the
right level, but has acknowledged there was a problem with the January boundaries - and it has continued to refuse to order
exam boards to regrade this year's
exams.
Ofqual chief Glenys Stacey said the regulator's decisions over
exam grades had been «the
right thing and the fairest thing, for the
right reasons».
