If this fixes the problem that means that the rubber is pulling down the
indicator stalk when indicating
right, and when the click from the latching mechanism vibrates the
stalk it wiggles loose.
The
right stalk controls the turn
indicators and controls for the headlamps & fog lamps.
All the driver's controls were located where they should be and were easy to use, even down to the
indicator stalk and combined auto headlight switch on the
right of the steering column.
Instruments are clear and easy to read and the controls are placed where they should be (i.e.
indicator stalk on the
right, wipers on the left).
Ford has placed the
indicator stalk on the
right side of the steering column, which is laudable given it costs more to cater to the fewer buyers living in
right - hand drive markets.
The controls are mostly where one would expect them to be, except the
indicator stalk is actually on the
right side of the steering column — something almost unprecedented in this German - dominated market segment.
It's drop dead simple to understand and use, either by tapping the end of the turn signal
stalk (always on) or the
right turn
indicator (on until the signal shuts off).
