When I was growing up outside
of Detroit there was a company called Sanders and they made the best pre-maybe caramel
cake and icing I've ever had in my life... This comes
right underneath that... The only thing that I will do differently is I would make the frosting the day before and let it sit out in a cool place at least 24 hours... Because this allows the frosting to stiffen up even more... Putting it on when I did, which was like An hour or so after I made it, it's still kind
of went down the
sides and onto the plate but when I went back today to get another piece and I pulled it up off the plate and re-frosted it then it stay this time... Thank you so much for this recipe... I'm going to make this as much as I can... I tried to rated 5 stars but it would only let me Rate 4
I've never been able to figure out what causes them, but luckily, when you flip the
cake right side up, they're hidden. - As for the trickiness
of all that inverting and reverting, here's what I do.
Place the other half
of the
cake on top (
right side up) and spread with remaining frosting.
While these quinoa, sesame, rice
cakes would be lovely along
side a piece
of fish (I served it with salmon the other night), I am really crushing on this version
right here, simply topped with avocado, spicy mustard, and a few other goodies that can be adapted depending on what greenery you have in your fridge.
Line a 23 cm
cake tin with baking paper,
right up the
sides of the pan.
Place a serving platter on the bottom
of the
cake and re-invert, so the
cake is
right -
side - up.
However, I recommend stacking the colors more vertically instead
of right next to each other horizontally — since we will be smoothing the frosting around the
sides of the
cake horizontally and you'll want to leave a bit
of room to allow the colors the «blend.»

Place a
cake stand or
cake plate on top
of the upside down loaf, and carefully invert so it's
right side up.
Then place a rack over the top
of the pan and invert the
cake, replacing it on the rack
right side up to cool or putting it directly on your serving platter to enjoy while still warm from the oven.
Place the second layer
of cake right side up (flat
cake bottom onto the frosting) and frost the top
of this layer with 2/3 cup again (note: I found I needed just a bit more to cover this layer).
Cool
cake 10 minutes in pan, then turn out
of pan, and cool completely,
right side up, on a rack.
Place the last
cake layer with
cake right side up and use the remaining frosting to cover top
of cake and the
sides.
Bake
cakes, rotating from left to
right and top to bottom halfway through, until golden brown and the
sides of cakes begin to pull away from pans, 40 — 45 minutes.
Fruit bubbles over the top and onto the
sides of crust, chocolate oozes down the layers
of a
cake that leans slightly to the
right.
Place the other half
of the
cake on top (
right side up) and spread with remaining frosting.
The
cake should be able to just slide
right out
of the bundt pan... especially since you sprayed the
sides very well!
Controls are a piece
of cake - you have one button on the left
of the screen to control your power and then on the opposite
side you have your left and
right controls.
On the
right hand
side of the road, Papa's Deli is worth a stop for freshly baked bread and
cakes.
