Volume controls sit adjacent to power on the right edge.

It has a headphone jack, volume controls, a micro-USB port for charging and syncing, and a power button, all running along the top edge (from left to right, when held in portrait mode).

The design on this device is pretty basic but effective with a microUSB port for charging the phone and using the earphones on the left side as well as volume control buttons on the right side.

To the right of that button are narrow volume controls with a Play / Pause button in the middle.

The top of the Streak (or right, if you're holding it vertically) houses a 3.5 mm headphone jack, narrow volume controls, a small recessed power button, and a camera launch / shutter key.

Once again you'll find the standby button in place on the right hand edge of the device with volume controls just below.

There's an on / off button — which is really just a lock / unlock button — at the very top and volume controls on the right side, along with a Menu button.

The N700 has a few buttons on the right side that invokes the menu, volume control, search and back options.

Other issues that the update aims to set right include those with Wi - Fi, volume control, and so on.

On top of the tablet are a microphone and a headphone jack, and Power buttons and Volume controls live on on the right panel — they're much too close to each other, though, and led to my unintentionally turning off the CherryPad more than a couple of times during testing.

Along the side panels, there are left and right internal speakers; the top edge houses the Power and Volume controls, and on the bottom panel there's a proprietary connection for the included charging / sync cable, which connects the tablet to both your computer and the AC adapter via USB.

The power button and a volume rocker adorn the right side, just above an IR blaster, for turning this slate into a TV remote control.

On the right side you find the 3.5 mm head phone jack, volume control, right side convenience button (defaulted to camera), and the micro-USB connector.

Going around the edges of the tablet, you'll find buttons for volume control and power on the right, and a MicroSD card slot on the left.

With a minimalist angle that echoes what was done in 2015 and 2016, the 2017 Fire HD 8 has volume controls, a headphone jack, a micro-USB port, and a power button running along the top edge (from left to right, when held in portrait mode)...

On the left side of the device there is a USB 2.0 and power jack, on the bottom there is a docking connector and mini-HDMI and on the right side there is an auto - rotate button, volume controls, and a mic / headphone jack.

On the left side of the Eee Pad Transformer is a power / screen activation button and volume controls, and a headphone, miniHDMI, and a microSD card slot are on the right.
