The company also said it had prioritized the
speaker's sound, which can be lackluster on
rival devices.
For every product Apple makes, Google had a direct
rival, although it also unveiled
devices that have no equivalent over at Apple like smart
speakers.
With not much known yet regarding the
device, it is difficult to say how well it will look alongside its future smart
speaker rivals.
If the Sonos S13 smart
speaker can support all three, or even just two, the
device would be offering something that its
rivals can't.
The smart
speaker market is about to get one more contender as Samsung has confirmed it's working on a
device to
rival Amazon Echo, Google Home, and the upcoming Apple HomePod.
Since the Bixby - powered
speaker will compete with not only the HomePod but also established smart
speakers like Amazon's Echo series and Google's Google Home, Samsung is setting its new product apart from its
rivals by promising a
device that's strongly focused on audio quality and efficient management of connected home appliances.
While Google's Chromecast opened up video streaming options to the big screen with features that
rival Apple's popular AirPlay streaming features for iOS
devices and Macs, Google Cast for audio is another piece to that puzzle that competes with the similar AirPlay audio enabled
speakers available on the market.
However, it's quite clear that Facebook is grooming the upcoming smart
speakers to be direct
rivals of Amazon's best - selling
device, the Echo Show.
Apple could introduce its rumored Siri
