Most
arcade racers feature weapons, but not since
Road Rash and Bully have I been able to punch the jerk next to me as retaliation for trying to run me off the track.
Sometimes I feel like the game can take itself a little too seriously with corner cutting time penalties and the more traditional
road course racetracks that take away from the beautiful scenery that you get on other circuits, because after all, this is an
arcade racer.
This more
arcade - focused
racer is a bit underwhelming in some areas, but its wealth of content and satisfying off -
road feel manages to keep things interesting.
In terms of
arcade racers, the Burnout series is one of a kind thanks to its awesome crash physics and emphasis on taking other drivers off the
