Although it could be due to the eerie quiet of the CT 200h on electric propulsion, reflected
road noise seemed intrusive when driving over coarse - chip paved roads.
That keeps the wind noise out from the front, and
road noise seemed to be significantly reduced as well.
While handling and
road noise seemed segment - competitive to me, the 3.3 - liter V6 is barely adequate for hauling this 4,700 - pound beast around, especially when loaded with people and luggage.
The only 2 problems I have had are:

The air suspension did a slightly better job of damping out small bumps and
seemed to transmit less
road noise into the cabin, but handling was pretty darn near a toss - up.

noise and sense of occasion was part of it but more importantly the 650S couldn't cope when the
road turned bumpy — the bodywork scraping into the tarmac all too often — and the car just
seemed uptight compared to the incredibly generous, entertaining Ferrari.

seem like quite an appealing change of career.
The ride was harsh, especially over highway expansion cracks, and more unrelaxing
road and tire
noise was transmitted than
seemed appropriate for the leather - lined cabin of a gentleman's express.
Getting subjective, the Gran Coupe also
seems to let marginally more
road and wind
noise into its cabin than the M5 when set to a 100mph Autobahn cruise.

road noise, need to turn up radio even at 40 Thin hard steering wheel, cheap plastic bulbous airbag cover Cheap interior, feels like a Kia.
Although wind and driveline
noise are quite well suppressed, it
seems Mazda has again failed to address tyre
noise on coarse
road surfaces.
Overall, the cabin
seemed pretty insulated from the
road and wind
noise.
I'd say, in fact,
road noise generally
seems higher than the norm — lotsa tire
noise on the freeway, for example.
Not much wind or
road noise gets in, making the little thing
seem a bit more quote - unquote premium.
It was a blustery day for the drive programme, but Subaru's engineers certainly
seem to have found ways of reducing the
road noise transmitted to the cabin.
The Volvo suffers from wind
noise, too, which
seems to come from all directions, and its chunky tyres pick up quite a rumble on -
road.
The
road noise if terrible, it
seems Nissan decided to build the door panels, and entire car with as little or no sound insulation, very cheap.
Interior is well built, however, there
seems to a rattle
noise fron the rr speaker mounting panel on rough
roads.It is annoying and 3 Nissan dealers failed to fix it.I have learned to listen to loud music when driving on rough
roads!
Those people
seem to have one speed that they all drive at (80 mph) and the Sonata did that with no wind or
road noise and the tach was hovering at about 2100 rpm.
It's a tenacious corner carver, and one that
seems unfazed by lumps and broken surfaces, the latter only revealing moderate discomfort at lower speeds and the transition of
road noise to the cabin.
Road noise remains muted, although the big van doesn't
seem as well insulated.
The trick is whether one could spend every day in what
seems to be a relatively noisy place, without much isolation from
