For this recipe I
roasted the strawberries
with Alessi white balsamic reduction
along with a little
honey which really enhanced the flavor of the strawberries and created a delicious syrup to be incorporated into the ice cream.
I have a few favourites, but a quick one is to cut the fresh fig into quarters, not going all the way through, drizzle
with the
honey / orange liquid then place a square of Gorgonzola (my favourite) into the middle and
roast in the oven
along with some chopped walnuts.
The original recipe called for
roasting the potatoes
along with the
honey mustard sauce, but this ended in a sticky mess and disappointingly mushy potatoes.
