I have never had
roasted broccoli before but I tried it and fell in love with it!

roasted broccoli before — i usually just eat it steamed, but i'll definitely be trying this out soon!

I absolutely love
roasted broccoli, but I've never heard of
broccoli steaks like this
before.
We
roasted the tomatoes,
broccoli and mushrooms
before putting them on the crust.
I always thought frozen
broccoli wouldn't work well for
roasting because it's just too wet (it is blanched in hot water
before freezing and frozen vegetables tend to seep water after thawing because ice crystals poke holes in the cell walls).
I made
roasted potatoes and added leftover
roasted broccoli from the night
before.
Broccoli and peppers are great, and you can also try zucchini, tomatoes or cherry tomatoes, carrots, aubergine, asparagus, cauliflower, etc... to make the veggies more flavorful you could also
roast or grill them,
before adding to the tart.
I also loved adding the
roasted broccoli... I've never tried
roasting it
before... wonderful!!
Bonus points for
roasting or grilling veg like scallions and
broccoli rabe
before throwing them in the food processor (or blender, or mortar), which will add some nice caramelized flavor.
Even once he started eating again, he has remained a little pickier than
before and will not eat the
roasted veggies I used to make him weekly: (He does, however, love these
broccoli cheese patties that I make!

roasted broccoli, and parmesan (unpictured).

Toss some asparagus with a little olive oil and salt and pop it in the oven for a few minutes
before you put the chicken in for a
roasted asparagus side, or try it with Asparagus «Pasta» (page 246) or Pan-Steamed
Broccoli with Lemon, Garlic, and Parsley Gremolata (page 253).
