While I do enjoy a good mashed potato, give me
crispy roasted ones any day over them, so I'm gonna have to agree with your son These look absolutely killer.
Not quite the same consistency as the
Field Roast ones, but for so many fewer fat and calories they were pretty darn close!

Although you can use unroasted hazelnuts, I would really recommend using
roasted ones as they add a lovely smokey - chocolatey rich flavour.
To roast the yellow or orange bell pepper, heat oven to 400 degrees F.
Roast one pepper on a tray for 15 to 20 minutes or until blistered on top side.
I forgot to mention that I used pre-cooked vacuum packed beetroot instead of
roasting one beet and it worked really well — good if one hasn't a lot of time.
Created a nice flavour and the tomatoes I used were the
fire roasted ones with a smokey taste.

* The first time I made this, I did not have a squash with a particularly hollow core, so when I dumped the bread crumbs into the squash along with the cheese, it solidified into a cheese ball... So, if you choose to

Taste is alright don't compare to the
yummy roasted ones u get from trader joes but these are good enough!
For the pumpkin filling,
roast one small sugar pumpkin (cut in half, seeds removed) cut - side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment in the oven at 350F for 25 - 35 minutes (depending on the size of your pumpkin).
I didn't have any green chili but used a can of Chipotle in adobo sauce (that I ALWAYS have on hand for salsas) and so doubled the whole recipe... didn't have regular corn or black beans so I used kidney and creamed corn (just cuz I had them) and I used smoked curry powder instead of regular and regular diced tomatoes as I didn't have
fancy roasted ones but even with all the changes omg it was SOOOOOO GOOOD.

But really, raw, sprouted (or blanched) and then dehydrated nuts takes the same time as
regular roasted ones.

Either choose an assortment of veggies that require roughly the same cook time, or start with the long -
roast ones and gradually add the other veggies to the pan as the cook time passes.
I've never cared for sun - dried tomatoes, but these slow -
roasted ones are terrific!
Just eliminate that step in the directions, and bake the cake for about an hour instead of 40 minutes, as the fresh, unroasted strawberries will hold more juice than
the roasted ones do.
Bake for 7 - 10 minutes until lightly toasted (when you buy
the roasted ones in store they're roasted for far longer than this & can end up being too hard).
