Although we can't use nuts in recipes, I find that
roasted seeds do an excellent job as well.

Also, I pull most of the stringy stuff off the squash
seeds (but don't wash them), toss with extra virgin olive oil, salt, and chili powder or paprika or no extra spice and
roast the
seeds in the toaster oven until they get crunchy while the squash cooks.

seeds are great

The problem we had though, was what to
do with the Tomatoes after
roasting them, Typically other salsa recipes would remove the skin and
seeds, but that seems kind of meaningless in this instance.

You can put
seeded, sliced tomatoes directly on this pizza, but
roasting them first — as we
do here — makes for a more concentrated tomato flavor without the excess moisture.
Once the squash is
done roasting and is cool enough to handle, scoop out the
seeds and discard.
