I'd read somewhere on the internet that
roasting strawberries really brought out the flavour, which kind of makes sense as soon as you think about it.

* obviously this is a pie recipe but the combo of graham cracker crust,
roasted strawberry cream filling ad basil infused whipped cream would be perfect for individual trifles (with cubed up pound cake instead if graham crackers if you must) or you could
really go buck wild and alternate layers of whipped cream and filling with graham crackers for an icebox situation that would knock several socks off I'm sure.
At least the flag idea came across, and the flavor of the
roasted strawberries, coupled with the wildflower honey and subtle lemon scent
really made these bars pretty fantastic, if I do say so myself.
For this recipe I
roasted the
strawberries with Alessi white balsamic reduction along with a little honey which
really enhanced the flavor of the
strawberries and created a delicious syrup to be incorporated into the ice cream.
Today I tested some
roasted strawberries and I'm happy to report they turned out
really well.
Now,
roast those
strawberries before blending them with vanilla ice cream and a bit of milk and you've
really got something else!
You have me
really intrigued with this
roasted strawberry business.
