After watching the credits
roll for the first time (and presumably eating a million of Nana's delicious Oden sandwiches) new mechanics and
enemies start to seep in through the cracks.
Bloodborne was honestly a bit on the easier side especially
after the first hour or so once you start leveling your character it kinda just becomes face
roll, you get have so many bloodvials you cant even use them all, you begin to pretty much able to face
roll all the
enemies because they do nt hit you hard enough before you kill them.
Kutaro can only hold and toggle between three heads at the time and, if hit by an
enemy, Kutaro's current head will
roll away, leaving the player to either choose and chase
after the tumbling head, or let him replace his head with one of the remaining ones.
I was pummeled
after a few dice
rolls went in the
enemy's favor, and it was back to the start of the level.
Boss fights provided some relief from the tedium but they were separated by wave
after predictable wave of
enemies that
rolled down the screen, doing little to challenge the player except get in the way.
After spending the last couple of years reworking, refining and enhancing key elements of Civilization 5, the developer has now slapped XCOM:
Enemy Unknown on the operating table,
rolled up its sleeves and poked at the innards of what was already one of the best strategy games around.
I have made quite a few eye
rolls during my play time at the parody - level girls and their antics, but I felt like a true warrior once I figured out how to pummel 20
enemies into the air, run up the wall following them to add more to their beat down, then air dash
after them to pound them back into the ground, ending their life and my 250 - hit combo.
