That helped a bit with sales on those
other platforms, but not
as much
as I would have expected (I should note that my pen name writes science fiction
romance, and Bookbub doesn't have such a category — they put the
book in paranormal
romance, which I don't believe was a good fit).
Romance writers — and particularly novices — are much less likely to see their
books as conduits toward speaker / lecturer fees (or «honoraria», or several
other terms frequently used) than are many logos - worshipping Protestants (the core of TN's audience).
So far, a few clients are using Ganxy in beta: Diversion
Books (the publisher of Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and the Washington Post ebooks, among
others),
romance author Barbara Freethy (who's achieved huge success self - publishing her out - of - print titles
as ebooks) and author and Cracked columnist Robert Brockway.
Some of the authors have moved on from having their
books published through Kindle Press to
other Amazon Publishing imprints, such
as Sariah Wilson who is now published by Montlake
Romance, while
others have gone back to self - publishing their titles.
