romances no longer filled the hunger, so I started
plotting a combination
of my favorite genres and wrote my own «Western gothic
romance.»
It reads like the
plot of a
romance novel.
The
romance and
plot is so sweet, but it's also downright hilarious and I no matter how many times I watch it, I find myself dying
of laughter.

of romance in the situation has a sultry charisma that reminded me
of a young Lauren Bacall and the
plot has a very strong message; namely that violence begets violence.
And so the cheapening, even smearing,
of a peculiar kind
of romance is at its most rampant, and the want for proper dialogue and
plot points has finally become make - believe.
MI - 3 is a near - prefect blend
of romance, devotion, emotion, high action, intelligent
plotting, surprisingly innovative solutions to problems, and enough flash - bang to turn up the adrenalin.
The
plot doesn't have enough twists and clues to be called a «whodunnit» and, surprisingly, there isn't much
of a
romance element either.

The
plot is a bit more
of a fantasy
romance with some action in it, but Jessica Chastain and Chris Hemsworth give their characters some life so that you do want to see them succeed by the time the movie is over.

Which is fine, except that that secondary
plot of his blossoming
romance with Diane is given very short shrift (and little screen time), which means that the final resolution feels a bit unearned.

Malkovich easily has the most hysterical role, stealing scenes left and right, which helps to divert attention from the dreadful cover - up
plot, the afterthought
romance involving Victoria, Parker's inability to convey any sort
of believable reaction, and questions
of probability — such as how a monstrous cannon on a tripod can be set up in the parking garage where the Vice President is campaigning, without attracting any attention by the hundreds
of security team members scurrying about.
It has a cleverly intricate screenplay by the writer
of The Full Monty and direction by Trainspotting's Danny Boyle, who almost seems to be remaking that earlier movie, only with lots more
romance and a
plot hopped up on subcontinental steroids.
The machinations
of the
plot are loud and fairly clumsy, with unanswered questions and conveniences that serve the screenwriter but not the story (the growing
romance between Neale and Carla feels particularly strained, despite good performances by both Milland and Reynolds), yet Lang molds it into something that is consistently entertaining and at times genuinely enthralling.
A highly entertaining remake
of The Life
of Jimmy Dolan (1933), that is made competently enough and solidly acted so that one might forgive all the
plot holes, its predictability, unconvincing
romance and outdated cornball antics.

plot thickens when Dylan's jealous girlfriend Lauren (Meghann Fahey) shows up in time to put the kibosh on any rekindling
of romance between him and his ex, Katy.

romance films, you'll need to go along with some
of the more convenient aspects
of the
plot.
