Misery, sorrow, poverty, loneliness, helplessness, and guilt mean something different in the eyes of God than according to human judgment; that God turns toward the very places from which humans turn away; that Christ was born in a stable because there was
no room for him in the inn — a prisoner grasps this better than others.
And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was
no room for them in the inn.
The end of Luke 2:7 says, there was
no room for them in the inn.
Alanj wrapped him in swaddling clothes and placed him in a manger, because there was
no room for them in the inn.
Feeling like there's
no room for you in the inn?
In my book, Christmas Redemption, I briefly look at the wording in Luke 2:7 which says that when Jesus was born, Mary laid Him in a manger because there was
no room for them in the inn.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was
no room for them in the inn.
Luke 2:7, in speaking of Mary, says «And she gave birth to her first born son, and she wrapped him in cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was
no room for them in the inn.»
The mighty conqueror comes into the world in piercing cold, in a stable «because there was
no room for them in the inn».
