Thank you for the time you put in helping us find a place, the generous and very useful Lowe's gift card (which we used to get the paint for Brady's room), the thoughtful note that came with it, the many last minute requests to see places, and for skipping another closing to come to our final walk through and closing, particularly since that meant walking through a bee swarm (they're all gone now).
My next renovation wasn't quite so successful — I moved the kitchen in my last place to the family room and turned the dining room into a guest bedroom.
Place in a bright room away from direct sunlight; arrangements should last for about seven days.
Spending a week in each room painting, patching, purging, decluttering, donating and packing up and placing items in storage has been what has kept us busy the last month.
Our master bedroom is the throw - all, catch - all room in the house and the last place people see so it's never the top priority!
I included our dining room when I posted our home tour last week and have blogged about its progress along the way, but here's the official «before / after» post and all of the details in one place.
we finished a room last year that i love... since my husband and i both love it, i wouldn't call it the woman cave but it is cozy and my favorite place in the house.
When we remodeled our house in California, the master suite was the last room to receive a makeover and once it was done it just provided so much ease and structure to our mornings that we promised ourselves that the master would be the first thing we would tackle in our new place.
I promised to step up the hotel room tours around this place, so last week, when my daughter, her friends, and I were in Tulsa for the One Direction concert, I made sure to snap a few pics of the hotel where we stayed... despite the fact that I hadn't brought my camera!
I spray painted it aqua last year to use on our back patio, and I was going to repaint it to put in our girl's room, but when I placed it in her room, I kind of like the color it already was, so I left it alone!
With each little element we've placed in their room, my youngest keeps saying, «Our room is going to be soooo cute» and as I tucked them into bed last night, I finally said, «Your room is DONE!»
You can also see the artwork from a local artist that hubby fell in love with last winter, it has pride of place over the toilet, ha ha and ties in the aquas and blues used in the room.
