It's like a small scared child
in a dark
room claiming there is some monster out there
in the darkness so you turn on the lights to show him there is no monster, but he just get's more scared claiming the monster must have hid
in the
closet or under the bed or anywhere you havn't yet looked, and when you do look and show them nothing is there it doesn't make them relieved, they get more upset
because they now believe the monster is super fast or invisible or can teleport,
because they know it's there, they can just feel it!
It's equal parts maddening and hilarious
because 192 square feet is a tiny amount of space for two people, but I've somehow managed to turn it into our bedroom and living
room and kitchen thanks to 1) clever storage solutions from IKEA and The Container Store (ok, and a few Costco boxes that got shoved
in the top of our
closet) and 2) a portable cooktop and snack - size refrigerator (both of which have made eating at home a breeze).
After 2 months I decided to try putting him on the big potty with his seat
because he kept getting up and running away naked to pee
in another
room (like the

Long story short:
because of this new little addition to the
room, I washed and ironed all of the bedding (including the dust ruffle) and the curtains, washed the woodwork and floors, dusted, cleaned out the three
closets in the
room, painted a nightstand, and put it all back together.
Actually I just need to utilize it better
because now it's my walk -
in closet, study
room, entertainment area and yes, my bedroom.
Because we have a
closet and a row of hooks along one wall
in our mudroom / laundry
room, we don't use our front door as an entrance at all, unless we have guests over, which means that we don't really need much storage
in this area.
My biggest dilema is how to store my craft / art / sewing supplies
because of the low slanted ceilings
in the
closets in that
room.
A hilarious side note — guests put their coats on her bed
because the cottage doesn't have a guest
closet, two male guests have been so bold as to say they want to have s * x
in that
room... I mean... they're bold enough to announce it as they pick up their coats!
One of our daughters lives here full time and uses the
closet in our bedroom
because her
room doesn't have one.
and I know its
because so much stuff is out of place (so I'm compensating
in other
rooms by purging
closets and cabinets and drawers).
Because the
closet is open to the main
room in the dorm, I'd use a new one - if I won -

Storing some toys
in the
closet is to relieve some of the toy congestion
in our living
room because we don't have play

in the stairwell).
unlucky us that we basically live
in an attic is countered by lucky us that every
