It was here that I was first introduced to the «Hungarian Wooden Plate,»
on their menu, that I subsequently often served at home between Christmas and New Year as an alternative for those tired of turkey: served family style,
on a very
large round wooden
platter — yummy golden brown breaded plain Wiener schnitzel, Weisswurst, and fat German sausage, and Kasseler Rippchen (thick pink smoked porkchops), and long skinny hot dog wieners, all atop homemade sauerkraut and chunky home fries.
