My how short people's memories are when it comes to things like RROD in the 360, or faulty AC bricks that caught fire on the original Shitbox.
did nt we hear reports of 360's getting RROD issues due to this game in beta testing, would be funny if those issues surfaced on the final version.
Maybe not right away but I am happy with my 360 so far since I got a later revision not prone to the heat / RROD issues.

Then there is the whole fact that MS are getting even more rushed by Sony's imminent console release, than they were with 360, & MS don't have a good track record with rushed hardware, but, on that whole RROD fiasco, at least 720's failure rate couldn't be any worse, as a little talked about fact is that the failure rate for AT LEAST, the 1st 2 yrs worth of 360's manufactured WAS WITHOUT DOUBT 100 %.

How about that other factor of reliability, nowhere in the article was that mentioned, is RROD problem fixed, I don't see any articles about that.

C'm on Medman, didn't you know that every single RRoD was replaced under warranty (that wasn't extended to 3 years until they were threatened with a lawsuit) and not a single person ended up buying their own replacement (s)?
I've even had to buy it twice thanks to three RRODs trying their very best to outlive my premium warranty.

PS3 tech was not affordable at release hence the astronomical price and even more loss, same with X360, where teh tech was not only unaffordable, it was not ready either, hence the frequent rrod's lol

The game suffers from large framerate drops and full system lockups, and some people are even saying they got RROD / YLOD from this game overheating there system.

Iv owned 3 ps3 and 4 xbox, i like them much but all have rrod or yrod.

Compiled with the fact that MS has to deal with all of the errors and RRoDs and lawsuits that have been filed against them and the playing field starts evening out.
an as far as the 1 billion for the RROD goes, the repairs didn't COST them 1 billion, they SET ASIDE 1 billion for repairs, there has been 1 SPECULATED REPORT that the repairs may have exceeded that cost, but there's no way to confirm that report.so what MS did was like this, if I have 100 dollars for the week an I set aside 50 bucks to buy food an I only spend 35 of that 50 on food, you can't say I lost 50 on food because I didn't spend it all, I still have change left.

MS makes a profit off of the 360 sales albeit I'm sure you could say that that money goes towards fixing the rrod fiasco.
It seems like Microsoft doesn't want to draw any additional attention to the Xbox 360's widely - reported, extensively - documented and personally - experienced hardware problems just in case some poor casual gamer out there has yet to hear about the RROD, which is both sensible and sneaky.
