As new technologies, services, and ways of
running blogs come up, it's hard to keep up with it all.

It just so happened that there was a conference
coming up
run by a guy named Ismael Ghalimi, a very well respected software executive who also was keeping a
blog at the time for companies in the space.
Just when you thought he might have learned not to
run with scissors, here
comes another
blog, with a string of paper dolls, not just one.
And I speak and have helped with organizing Christianity21 — a conference Tony
runs — because I hope to help create a place where people from diverse Christian camps — such as Tony (who
came from the Congregational Church and now
blogs for a progressive platform) and me (who grew up in the Southern Baptist tradition who identifies as a moderate) can
come and share ideas and interact respectfully.
Though I still have bad
running days, my
running has been on a gradual incline over the past few years, which
came about through practice and by educating myself through
running books,
blogs and seminars.
While each one of these activities brings in a little bit of money each month, they do not even
come close to covering the total cost of
running this
blog.
That's where the
blog network
comes in (once it's up and
running).
At the time, I was
coming home from work to an always empty house, laying on the floor for an hour to re-calibrate from my day, working myself into a 30 minute or so
run, and then reading a couple food
blogs over dinner (usually a sweet potato, roasted during that
run, with black beans, salsa, and a pile of greens), working another couple hours just to survive the next school day, and falling into bed into a deep and dreamless sleep before my alarm clock wrenched me out and up and into another day that was much the same.
I just
ran across your
