Only 2 percent of high school seniors know the significance of Brown vs. the Board of Education and only 4 percent of 8th graders could explain why urban populations rose and
rural populations shrank over time.
It is therefore perhaps unsurprising that the experts judged the contrarian statements to be misleading and incompatible with the actual data, especially in comparison to the mainstream interpretations of the same data, which would of course state the obvious fact that most glaciers are shrinking (in this case, presented as «
rural populations shrinking»).

shrinking rural population (where the peer pressure is much greater) has a lot to do with it.
The warped statistics will also mean the boundary changes review coming next year will redraw Britain's electoral map in favour of the Conservatives, enlarging
rural constituencies and
shrinking the total number of the urban ones with mobile
populations that usually favour Labour.
